The minimum internship time commitment is two 10-hour shifts per week; however, certain programs have more specific commitment requirements. Being consistent matters more than how many hours you intern. Because we must coordinate many intern’s schedules, we must be able to depend on your attendance. Also, please understand that interns service does not lead to paid employment at Optimal Family Care. We happily provide a letter of recommendation for interns who have given at least 150 hours of satisfactory service.

All interns must have medical clearance, provide personal references, undergo an interview, background check, orientation, and any necessary specialized training.

All interns including adults and high school students are required to complete the Medical Clearance Forms. These forms will be provided after receipt of your internship application.
Accepted formats for submission include PDF and Microsoft Word Documents (as attachments). If you mail your application, it should be printed single-sided.
