Vanessa Conn is a huge part of healthcare reform in Houston. She believes that everyone deserves access to quality healthcare. She is working very hard to make this a reality so she has partnered with people with the same passion and mission in life; therefore, Optimal Family Care came to life in May of 2022.
The Purpose of Optimal Family Care
Optimal Family Care (OFC) is an express clinic facility located in the northwest area of Houston, Texas. The facility was designed to help the uninsured in the area, especially the growing Latino population in Houston. The goal of Optimal Family Care is to provide quality healthcare opportunities for everyone in Houston and everything starts by bringing to execution affordability.
OFC offers a variety of services such as primary care for men, women, pediatric services, health & wellness, weight loss and more. Optimal Family Care also provides their patients with access to a membership program. This annual membership includes an annual wellness exam with labs and orders for annual screenings (mammogram), four follow-up visits that can be used for follow-up or sick visits in office or via telemedicine, access to prescription medications if needed and a true support team. Depending on gender and age, the patient would pay as little as $25, $50, or $100 down then $25 a month for 11 months.
What sets Optimal Family Care apart?
Optimal Family Care provides its patients with high-quality, affordable health care. This is especially important for Houston’s Latino minority population, who often face significant barriers to accessing quality health care.
Latinos face a lot of challenges when it comes to healthcare. They are more likely to be uninsured, have limited access to care, and experience language and cultural barriers. Optimal Family Care is committed to providing quality health care to Houston’s Latino community and breaking down these barriers.
Of particular importance is Optimal Family Care’s ability to provide low-cost membership to its patients. This ensures that everyone has access to the care they need regardless of their financial situation.
From pediatric to adult health services, Optimal Family Care is committed to providing a comprehensive range of services to its patients. This means that you can get the convenient care you need all in one place.
How is OFC making a difference?
The problem with the current healthcare system is that it’s designed to profit off of sick people, rather than keeping them healthy. This results in a lot of people not getting the care they need until it’s too late.
Minority communities such as the Houston Latino community are known for their significant disparities in health outcomes. They are more likely to have limited access to healthcare due to language and cultural barriers and because they are uninsured.
Vanessa saw a dream to bring healthcare to everyone in Houston and that’s exactly what she is doing. Optimal Family Care is a new kind of primary care clinic that is affordable, convenient, and designed to keep you healthy.
She believes getting quality health care is everyone’s right and not a privilege. This is why OFC provides services such as the Health Membership with low rates, includes telemedicine, prescriptions, next or same-day appointments and many more benefits to the Latino community in Houston. This membership only provides care by Optimal Family Care. It does not cover any services outside of Optimal Family Care; however, OFC has partnered with many resources outside for discounted rates for their services.
With her help, the Latino community in Houston is getting better access to healthcare and is seeing improvements in their health outcomes!
Thank you Vanessa for all that you do!
